Yes, it's been awhile... While on hiatus, our new drummer Matt decided he couldn't fit the band in to his schedule and has decided to leave us, and so, the search continues for a new drummer. Meanwhile we've continued on recording. A few of the unmixed songs can be found on our music page for you sampling pleasure. Check them out and we'll be back as soon as we find some new drums to take these songs out to you live!

We're sad to announce that Brian has decided to move on which left Whiskey Dust searching for a new drummer, but don't worry, the new drummer has been found in Matt Padgett. Matt's played drums on the San Jose circuit for years, he's a solid drummer and a perfect fit for Whiskey Dust. The website will be updated shortly with more info about Matt. Currently, the band is rehearsing with Matt and bringing him up to speed. The band will premiere the new line up at the Brittania Arms in downtown San Jose on June first. It will definitely be a rockin' show as the band is extremely anxious to get back on stage. So, check our calendar page for the details and be there. You won't want to miss it!

The Lake Tahoe shows and The show at the Fifth Quarter were fantastic! Echo of Souls are amazing guys to play with and both shows went off great! We're about to start recording some of the new songs that we've been working on, so watch out for a CD soon. What about Whiskey Dust live?!?! Well, it's a few months away, but we'll be opening for The Frank Hannon Band and Long Gone Bon at the Avalon on April 28th. Frank Hannon, in case you don't know, also plays guitar for the band Tesla. Don't miss it!!!

Check the calendar page for more info!

(Update, the Avalon show on the 28th has been postponed, stay tuned for a new date to be announced later.)

Tahoe was a blast!

Well the Eric Perez New Years Eve Bash didn't work out as planned. Sacramento suffered some heavy flooding that weekend and word was that a few freeways got flooded, so we couldn't make it up there. We hope that everyone is okay up in Sacramento and that everything is back to normal soon.

The Kings Head show went off great, we played the whole night, two full sets! It was great. This weekend, Jan. 6th and 7th, we'll be playing at Whiskey Dicks saloon in Lake Tahoe with our long time friends, Echo of Souls. What better way to spend the weekend then up at the snow with Whiskey Dust live!!!

Also, at the end of the month on Jan. 28th, we'll be at The Fifth Quarter in San Jose, Ca. Check the Calendar page for more info!

Dave, Jack, and Sean all went up to see the Eric Martin Band perform in the Alameda. Dave has been a long time Eric Martin fan and he somehow tricked Eric into letting him come on stage and sing during the finale song, Thirty Days in the Hole!

After the show, shmoozing ensued along with snapshots with Eric and John Nyman, the guitarist for Y&T who also got up to jam with Eric!

Yes! There have been a lot of changes these past few months. And yet again, Whiskey Dust is back with a new line up, as well as new website, new everything! Dave Friday is, of course, still leading the band and now the band is rounded out with new members Brian Powell on drums, Jack Grossman on bass, and Sean McGuire on Guitar. All of the new members are currently rehearsing with Dave for upcoming shows and Whiskey Dust is sounding better than it ever has before. Stay tuned to this page and the calendar page for more information.

July 20, 2005
The band is currently taking a short break while our new studio is being built. However, our break isn't just us sitting around, we're still writing songs and planning on getting everything together to make Whiskey Dust bigger and better than ever.

June 8, 2005
Rocko has left the band, he was a great bassist and we wish him luck. Sean McGuire has just joined Whiskey Dust as the new bass player. Tunes are being rehearsed and the band is working on getting it tight for live shows. Stay tuned.

Whiskey Dust opened for the Pat Travers show at the Avalon last night. The crowd was great and, It was an awesome gig.

April 5, 2005
Brian Powell is officially Whiskey Dust's new drummer. Brian and Dave played together back in high school and just recently ran into each other at the same time Whiskey Dust happened to be looking for a new drummer. It's awesome the way things work out!

January 30, 2005
Dave was at The Frank Hannon Band's show at the Avalon last night. Frank Hannon is the lead guitarist of Tesla and he pulled Dave up on stage to lend his vocal chords during "Love Song". It was also Dave's birthday, what a killer birthday present... Dave had a great time, and the crowd went nuts.
